What inspired you to be a Health Coach? I enjoy helping people achieve a healthier lifestyle.

What is your favorite or most rewarding part of your job? When my clients tell me they couldn’t have quit without my coaching inspires me to help others to the best of my abilities.

Favorite comment from a QuitLine client?  “You are a great coach, a terrific listener and a wonderful person! I wish you health and happiness”

    and

“You guys are wonderful, I can't thank you enough for all the support.”

TIP: It’s never too late to try and quit no matter how old you are. There are always going to be good health benefits both mentally and physically.

How long have you been a Quit Coach: 2 years

What inspired you to be a Health Coach? I love helping others. I have always been involved in coaching in some capacity, through sports and other areas. I wanted to continue to help and guide others and Health Coaching has been a great way to do that!

What is your favorite or most rewarding part of your job? One of the most rewarding parts of my job is seeing individuals who never thought they could quit end up quitting and thriving being tobacco-free.

    Hobbies: Hunting and fishing

TIP: Take it one day at a time. As cliché as it sounds, not getting ahead of yourself in your quit is key. It can be overwhelming to think about staying quit the rest of your life, but you can stay quit today. As those days stack up it can seem less and less overwhelming to be tobacco-free!

  • Nikki

TIP: Whether you think you can or you think you can’t, you’re right.

  • Taylor

What is your favorite or most rewarding part of your job? My favorite part of the job is when I can end a session with a client who is excited and cannot wait to quit, when at the start of the session the client felt very nervous or defeated in their quit process

Favorite comment from a QuitLine client? It is helpful to have the Quitline in their corner as they go through all the other things life is throwing at them during their quit process.

TIP:  Collect as many reasons as possible for why you should quit tobacco and keep them in mind throughout your entire quit process. Identify any barriers to your quit early on and make a plan to overcome them, so when they do come up, you are ready to tackle them!

  • Merissa
